Palmer Luckey is Founder of Oculus VR. Due to extensive mainstream press coverage, he is most often cited as the face of modern VR. It was also his initiative that launched the famous Oculus Kickstarter campaign, which raised an at then unprecedented $2 million in pledges.
Much of his work is an actualization of pioneering research conducted by Mark Bolas. Bolas advised at the USC Project Holodeck where Luckey went to school in 2011. Luckey has one of the largest private collections of HMDs in the world, with over 50 samples spanning 30+ years of VR history.
